The Sense Text Plugin is one of two plugins specifically designed to support the more popular file formats used for document outlining.
The plugin enables both tabbed and space indented plain text files to be imported into Silva Elm's Sense Structured Document Editor.
The plugin dynamically identifies levels from the source text translating these into a hierarchy of expandable / collapsible sections within Sense.
Only in exceptional circumstances will a prompt be issued for guidance on the tab / space indenting rules to be used.
The plugin also identifies the file encoding during import and again will only request user selection when needed.
Editing is carried out within a freestyle environment using the highly synchronized dual navigation / edit panes of the Sense Editor.
Extensive management features including the ability to move content up, down and within Section levels efficiently.
Related material, whether internet or local, may be quickly cross-referenced using the hyperlink and bookmark support.
The Plugin's support for Unicode, ISO-8859 and Windows Codepage encodings follows into Sense which provides language and output file encoding management controls.
Once the document preparation has been completed, it may be exported to OPML using the second of the Sense outliner specific plugins.
Alternatively, the document may be exported to Rich Text Format using the Sense RTF plugin for completion using Microsoft Word.
