Print and File

The purpose of Print and File is to monitor a folder or folders for PDF files. When one if found, the contents of the file will be determined (document type) and the file's text will be extracted and then parsed to process the file.

The processing allows the file to be automatically saved and named with the parsed text. In addition it can be sent to a printer, a barcode added and a scanner activated.

For instance, if processing delivery documents, instead of printing the conventional way, the file could be printed with a virtual printer to a PDF, the printed file could now have a barcode, with a copy of it saved and the user could be prompted to put the supporting documentation in a scanner so it could be related to the file.

Ideally different document types will be in different input folders to speed processing and simplify setup. However if it is not possible to do this the program can determine the document type by something that is unique to it.
