Plextor PX 40TS firmware

The PX-40TS original mechanism was supported with firmware version

1.00. The Top Level Assembly (TLA) was 0000 (Hardware version 00,

firmware version 1.00).

This firmware for this mechanism is currently at version 1.05. The

utility will upgrade any PX-40TSI with the TLA version 0x0x

(hardware version 00 or 01). For example, TLA 0103 indicates

hardware level 01, and firmware level 1.03. This mechanism was

discontinued in 1999.

The PX-40TS mechanism was modified for cost reduction and parts

availability, and resulted in a TLA of 1010 (hardware version 10,

firmware version 1.10). The current hardware revision is 11xx. The

current firmware for hardware TLA 10xx or 11xx is version 1.13.

The mechanisms meet the same specifications and function

identically, but the correct supporting firmware must be installed

for the specific TLA.
