PalRelay by Martyn Walker is an Operating System for web pages and a new platform for applications to run. The application store includes many apps already including a social media monitor that alerts you to relevant comments from your trusted sources such as Linked In, facebook, Twitter and Digg. The beta developer API has already been released and adaptations of popular facebook applications are already underway.
